U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign announced that New York state campaign Chair Ed Cox and Executive Director Chris Cox will today file a full slate of 174 delegates and alternate delegates at 2:00 p.m. EST at the state board of elections in Albany. The slate is made up of distinguished individuals including former Congressman Amo Houghton and former Deputy Secretary of State John Whitehead.

"Today we file a full slate of John McCain delegates," said Ed Cox. "They are part of a grassroots team of men and women volunteers who believe that John McCain's courageous service, experienced leadership and bold ideas uniquely qualify him to lead America in these perilous times. These qualities, and his authenticity and integrity, put John McCain head and shoulders above all presidential candidates. In poll after poll, American voters name John McCain as the best Republican candidate to be elected as our next president."

John McCain thanked Mr. Cox and the delegates, stating, "I am grateful for Ed's support and for the continued encouragement from the volunteers who have worked tirelessly on my behalf in the state."
