U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced that former Congressman Doug Ose (R-CA) has endorsed John McCain for president and will serve as California Co-Chair.
"John McCain's lifetime of service and experience make him the most prepared to take on the challenges the next president will face on day one," said Congressman Ose. "Throughout his time in Congress he has led courageously in finding solutions to difficult problems. His consistent record, his leadership in working to restore fiscal sanity to Washington, and his ability to attract moderate Republicans and conservative Democrats make him the only candidate who can rally the Reagan coalition and defeat the Democratic nominee in the general election. I am proud to support him for president."
John McCain thanked Congressman Ose, stating, "Doug is a distinguished community leader. He has been an asset to the Republican Party in California and will now be an integral part of my campaign in the state. I look forward to his counsel and am grateful for his support."
Congressman Ose was born in Sacramento. He graduated from Rio Americano High School and University of California, Berkeley. Congressman Ose represented California's 3rd District from 1999 to 2005.
