BARR TO ATTEND ALABAMA LIBERTARIAN CONVENTION

Bob Barr will join Alabama Rep. Cam Ward, Alabama Libertarian Party Chairman Steve Gordon, Chair Emeritus Mark Bodenhausen and former Ron Paul Field Director Shana Kluck at the 2008 Libertarian Party of Alabama Convention, which will take place this weekend at the Birmingham BJCC across from the downtown Sheraton.

“I am delighted to participate in the convention of one of the most active and vibrant state Libertarian parties. Things like the panel discussion on the threats posed by ‘Real ID’ at the state level show how engaged Alabama Libertarians are. I congratulate Steve Gordon for putting together such a forward looking agenda,” said Barr.

The Libertarian Party, America’s oldest and largest third party, formed in 1971, is on track to achieve ballot access in at least 48 states. Its nominee will be chosen at the Libertarian National Convention which will be held in Denver, CO May 22 through 26.
